Nutmeg is the British translation of the word Panna. Panna is a Surinam word for “humiliation”, which is what you feel when you are “nutmeged” by a player i.e. the ball is passed between your legs. The game Panna can be traced to the streets of Holland where football technique has played a bigger part within the game of football than in Britain The ‘Nutmeg’ we believe is the FIRST available in Britain and allows users from the age of 8 to display their football skills. Playing Nutmeg has numerous benefits; it encourages skill and technique rather than power and speed which can often be the overriding factors within larger scale Sportswalls and football pitches. Our product allows all ages and skills to take part without exclusion. In turn this will obviously encourage wider participation and help in developing a healthier lifestyle and improved well being. It should also assist in reducing vandalism and unsociable behaviour.
