Record RSS was created in January 2007 by the merger of two well established
and well respected companies, Record Playgrounds (established in 1968) and
Recreational Supply Services Ltd (established 1987) to create the third largest
playground company in the UK.
Record Playgrounds based in Selby in Yorkshire has a proven reputation for
manufacturing high quality and extremely durable equipment whilst RSS based
in Wraysbury near Staines is well known for its innovative products and high
quality service based around its long experience in installation, inspection
and maintenance.
In addition to improved national coverage, bringing the two companies together
provides significant commercial benefits, with improved manufacturing and
product development capability and a national sales and after sales service
providing broader exposure and a more professional and personal service to
all its customers.
We produce a full range of play equipment including Trailblazers, Multi-units,
Swings, Springers, Orbitors, Cableriders, Net Mountains and Playground Furniture
which we provide on a design and build or supply only basis.
We also specialise in maintenance and repair, and can tailor a maintenance
programme to a customer’s needs.
We provide a free design service offering customers a complete turnkey package
for the supply and installation of equipment, safer surfacing, landscaping
and fencing.
The operation of Record RSS is based on a vast fund of technical experience
in play equipment design, manufacture, installation, maintenance and repair.
The Management System at
RECORD RSS is based upon the specification of ISO9001: 2000, applicable
Statutory and Regulatory requirements.

- The
ultimate aim of the management system is Continuous Improvement
leading to Customer Satisfaction.
- The
company operates and maintains a Health and Safety system
in accordance with the requirements of the Health and Safety
At Work Act.
- An
environmental system accreditation to ISO14001 will be set
up as part of the Management System.

Record RSS’s senior management is committed to an effective and efficient
quality management system meeting the requirements of BS EN ISO 9001 : 2000.
This policy is communicated to all members of staff and other relevant parties,
using this policy document, training, regular feedback, meetings etc.

Leadership and motivation of all staff by senior management (Managing and
Operation’s Directors), results in a team committed to achieving quality
improvement throughout the business, to the benefit of our customers.

Customer satisfaction is one of the major aims of our company. To this end,
the requirements of our customers will be assessed and used as input to the
quality system.
The
following areas will be targeted for improvement:
- To
supply playground services which are mutually acceptable
to our Customers and the Company.
- To
supply products and accessories that are totally fit for
their intended purpose, and to customer requirements.
- To
ensure that playgrounds are designed and manufactured in
the most economical manner, and to the relevant safety standards.
- The
level of customer complaints.
Management Review
At regular planned intervals, top management will perform a review of the
system to ensure suitability, adequacy and effectiveness (Procedure No3 Page18).

Senior Management is committed to the provision of competent personnel.
Provide adequate training to ensure all work affecting product quality is
to the highest standard.
Provide
the necessary resources and environment to maintain the quality
system and to continually improve its effectiveness.
Encourage
all employees to participate in the preparation, implementation,
and evaluation of improvement activities.
