Record RSS was created in January 2007 by the merger of two well established and well respected companies, Record Playgrounds (established in 1968) and Recreational Supply Services Ltd (established 1987) to create the third largest playground company in the UK.

Record Playgrounds based in Selby in Yorkshire has a proven reputation for manufacturing high quality and extremely durable equipment whilst RSS based in Wraysbury near Staines is well known for its innovative products and high quality service based around its long experience in installation, inspection and maintenance.
