Our factory in Selby, North Yorkshire is the largest manufacturing facility
of is kind in the UK. It is here that we design and manufacture our products,
monitoring quality at every stage of the process whilst also controlling
volumes and capacity. Efficient stock control enables a quick and well
managed turnaround from order to installation.
The Record RSS manufacturing team are highly skilled craftsmen. Our welders
are independently tested annually to ensure quality is of a continuous
high standard. This procedure ensures that any further training requirements
are identified and programmed.

One of the core principles at Record RSS is to make our ranges
of all-steel or steel-timber play equipment and outdoor furniture
the most durable
you can buy. Only the best raw materials combined with tried and tested
techniques are used in the manufacture of our play equipment. This
is why we are confident of offering, all our customers, low
maintenance,
durable and vandal-resistant products.
All our structural steelwork meets EN10210-2. It is shot-blasted
to ensure a smooth, grease-free finish and to provide a
clean ‘key’ for
the application of three coats of paint. A primer undercoat is followed
by two coats of hard-wearing, lead-free paint to give an average
thickness of 80 microns. An optional zinc spray is also available
(to special order)
to provide even greater protection for sites with adverse conditions
- eg coastal regions.

The Trailblazer ECO is designed with 150mm pressure treated
timber support posts with a guaranteed life of 15 years. Pressure-treated
Douglas Fir
posts are used in the construction of our Wood’n’Play
range. The vertical posts are installed into steel feet - not directly
into
the ground to avoid the risk of rotting.
All the bolts used in our products are vandal-resistant,
'resistorx' head fixings. The majority of fixings are hidden
inside steel channels
to deter illicit tampering.'
